Membership Application

I hereby apply for membership of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Asienkunde e. V. (German Society for Asian Studies). I am familiar with and accept the current version of the society’s statutes.
As a member, I will receive the journal ASIEN published by the DGA free of charge. Issues published before my membership in the calendar year will be sent to me.

The DGA acts in accordance with the principle of data minimisation. The personal data specified in the contract (establishment of membership in the DGA), in particular name, address, telephone number, bank details, which are necessary and required solely for the purpose of implementing the resulting contractual relationship, are collected on the basis of legal authorisations. All personal data collected here beyond the legal requirements serve exclusively to fulfil the purpose of the association in accordance with the articles of association (§ 2 of the articles of association); any other use is excluded.

Sponsoring members who wish to voluntarily pay a higher annual contribution are very welcome. Please enter how many euros per year you would like to contribute to the DGA.
According to the statutes of the DGA, membership fees are collected annually, if possible.

Next steps

In the next few days you will receive welcome mail (by e-mail) from us, which also contains the membership fee invoice and a SEPA form. Your annual membership fee is due upon receipt of this invoice, which we will normally collect (see above). If you do not have an account in the SEPA area, you must transfer your contribution by other means.
