New book series from Japanese Studies at the University of Cambridge
The Japanese Studies section at the University of Cambridge are delighted to announce that we have launched a new book series in collaboration with the University of Hawai’i Press. The mission of this book series is to encourage academically grounded approaches and publications that both offer new insights into Japan from a global perspective and engages with methodologies and theories of a disciplinary nature. The book series is open to scholarship in any discipline but also to manuscripts that take a more inter-disciplinary approach, with a focus on high impact monographs.
We expect to publish one or two high-impact books in this series annually, and look forward to receiving proposals, which should be sent first of all to the UHP editor. Through this initiative, we hope to support both younger and established scholars whose aim aligns with those of the series, and in its extension promote Japanese Studies across the academy. It is worth noting that, as far as we know, no other Japanese Studies section in the world has its own book series.
