The 2018 annual conference of the German Association for Social Science Research on Japan (VSJF) at the Japanese-German Center Berlin (JDZB) marked the 30th anniversary of the association. The conference addressed the role of researchers in society, science communication, and new possibilities for generating knowledge on Japan.
