Peter Gutter, M.A.
from the Netherlands, is a Southeast Asianist who has lived and worked in Southeast Asia for more than seven years. He worked in Laos from 1998 to 2000 and again from 2012 to 2014. He is currently looking for a supervisor for a PhD research project on relations between the former GDR and Laos, and how the East German and Lao media reported on them.
