Stefanie Schwarte, M.A.

is a doctoral student at the Japan Center at Ludwig- Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich and a research associate for the DFG- funded project (510553228) Demography and Democracy: How Population Aging Alters Democracy—The Case of Japan. Her research interests include politics in Japan with a focus on gender and representation, multi-level governance, and democracy.
