We would like to draw your attention to a CfP for a special issue in Politische Vierteljahresschrift / German Political Science Quarterly that we are guest editing as part of our LearningEmpire Research Group!

The Special Issue title is: “Learning Empire: China, Imperial Practices, and the Transformation of Global Order”

We welcome contributions examining China’s changing global practices and their implications for hierarchy, sovereignty, and the transformation of global order. We especially encourage submissions from early-career researchers, scholars from underrepresented backgrounds, and researchers based outside Germany.

The deadline for abstracts of approximately 300 words is 15 August 2026.
