She studied Indology, Tibetology, and Comparative Studies of Religion at the University of Bonn, where she also obtained her doctorate in 2023. In her dissertation entitled “Text and Subtext: Narrative Techniques in Hindi Dalit Autobiographies”, she examined narrative techniques employed by Hindi Dalit authors to perform their identity and challenge the object status to which Dalit characters have been subjected in mainstream Hindi literature. Her research interests include Hindi language teaching, Hindi literature and poetry, Dalit and Adivasi literature, and language politics.

In ihrer wissenschaftlichen Arbeit konzentriert sie sich auf Kulturpolitik im internationalen Vergleich, die Modernitätskonstruktion sowie Kultursoziologie mit Publikationen u.a. zu Kulturpolitikforschung, Kulturgeschichte, Kultursoziologie und Kulturentwicklung.
